He was nominated in 2022 for the Excellence in Theater Education, a TONY award.

Brendan is driven by the desire to give students and young artists access to the arts safely and ethically, highlighting the talent and utilizing inclusive practices to ensure that students can feel free to express themselves and learn the arts without the fear of judgement or access to prior theater opportunities acting as a barrier to participation. He was cast at age 5 in an educational theatre program. He has continued performing in various groups, ensembles, and events while achieving academic success and tenure in the public education system. Some favorite directing projects include Legally Blonde, R&H Cinderella, Beetlejuice, Annie, Beauty and the Beast, and Charlie Brown Christmas.
